How Middle East Seniors handles the messages, club suggestions and short write-ups that visitors send us, in plain language.
This page covers the simple ground rules for using the directory. It explains what happens when you write to us, suggest a club, or share a few lines about a group you attend. There are no accounts, no bookings and no payments on this site, so nothing here builds a personal profile of you.
Last updated: 12 February 2026.
When you send a club suggestion through the contact form, we receive the fields you fill in: your first name, your email address, the suburb or neighbourhood, the type of activity, the meeting details you describe, and your confirmation that the group is happy to be listed. Nothing else is asked of you.
The handler saves each submission locally in a file at /private/submissions.jsonl. Alongside your answers it records the time of submission, the form identifier, the page language and the source query string from the address you arrived on. There is no automatic deletion schedule: entries stay in that log until the site owner removes them by hand.
Contact details sent with a suggestion are used only to follow up on that suggestion, to ask a clarifying question, or to check a detail before a listing goes up. We do not use them for marketing, and we do not sell or pass them to third parties.
A suggested club may be checked for basic accuracy and clarity before it appears, and we may edit the wording for length or tone. We do not verify every detail of a group, so please read each listing carefully before you travel to a venue.
You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, request a portable copy, or withdraw your consent at any time. Where the law gives you these rights, including under GDPR or CCPA, we will act on a clear request. Write to us and we will take it from there.
We do not make misleading claims, invent urgency, publish fake endorsements or imply an official affiliation we do not have. No result is guaranteed. If something on a listing looks wrong, tell us and we will look at it.
